Before 1960
Mass was celebrated in a Local Community Hall.
Te Atatu North was then serviced by Priests from the Henderson Parish.
In 1960
Te Atatu was established as a Parish dedicated to the Holy Family.
Our first Parish Priest was Fr Gormley.
In 1964
Holy Family Catholic Church was completed. The first Mass was celebrated by Bishop Liston in the Latin Rite.
In 1971
Catholic Youth Hall was completed. Norman Kirk visits Holy Family Parish to present awards to the youth.
In 1988
Fr Ante Klarich arrives in New Zealand to become Chaplain to the Croatian Community.
In 1991
The Parish purchases a house to use as CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) rooms.
In 1998
The Catholic Youth Hall is renovated and renamed the Fr Green Centre while the Parish Priests Garage is converted into the Youth Centre.
In 2000
Holy Family Parish celebrates its 40th Jubilee.
In 2004
The CCD rooms were moved from the back of the property to beside the flat and renamed the Faith Centre. The rooms were converted into an Office, Meeting Room and a Chapel.
In 2006
The Faith Centre was renamed the Fr Bugler Centre and the Hall was renamed the Fr Green Hall.
